My first ever gallery showing is what I have been working on in my spare time. For the past four months I have been selecting photos, matting and framing them myself, or choosing another format to display them like canvas or metal. Most recently I have been reviewing my recent photos and have included a few of them. The photo below is an example of a late addition.
Last week KI and I began to physically layout all of the photos on the floor of our guest room, hallway and library to see how they looked together. We reworked and reworked until all of them fit and looked good together. Then I designed a spreadsheet with the groupings(KI, the Microsoft Office guru, suggested I do that) so we could hang them at the Gallery. Who knew what it took to put together a show?
So with less than two weeks away, no more additions. We are set. I am still shooting, but these photos will have to wait for another show. The photo below which I recently shot at a Great Falls in Maryland is one that I edited on Snapseed, an iPad app.
Last weekend I spent two days at Assateague Island in Virginia at the Delmarva Photo Summit. I learned so much and will be blogging about it right after Thanksgiving weekend. I will add a new page to my website entitled, “Photography in Abstract.” I am very excited to show you these new photos.
Facebook friends Cheri and Barbara are winners this week of a free photo. They both commented several times and were randomly picked as winners.
I hope you can make it to my gallery showing sometime in December. If not, I’ll post photos of it here and on Facebook.
Thank you so much for supporting my work by commenting, liking it on Facebook, and buying it. I appreciate it more than words can express.
And as always, enjoy the photos!
