Recently I have been reading up on how to successfully promote my work. Everyone and their brother gives advice on this. More specifically I am focusing on blogging and photography. So “they” say to blog consistently, not every day, but on consistent days. I try, really, but I am conscious of avoiding days where other bloggers, whom I know, blog regularly. Unfortunately there are only seven days to pick from. “They” also write that blog even when you don’t have anything to say, but don’t just blog about “what you ate for breakfast.”. Today I had a tangerine and hot chocolate. Not really interesting.
There was one piece of advice I read that I liked. “They” wrote that even if you have nothing to say, post a recent photo and tell your readers how it came about. This I can do!
When KI and I were in Puerto Rico, towards the end of our stay, I had not taken a sunrise shot. I got up early on the second to last day, grabbed my gear, and walked to the backyard of our hotel, walking towards the sunrise. It was partly cloudy so the sun showed above the horizon. After 10 photos or so, I decided to move on. I turned around and the early sunlight caught the buildings on the Atlantic wonderfully, but not much variety-a few more shots. I then headed up the outside elevator back to my room. When I exited the elevator, I began to see a rainbow forming in the ocean. I shot for a half hour before I got this photo and this rainbow.

And as always thank you for supporting my work.
