My photos will be featured in an upcoming three month exhibit at Robinson Nature Center. I have blogged extensively about the nature center as it is my “go to” place for photos when I want to hone my craft. Located just two miles from me,
I am photographing there almost every week. I also volunteer as a photographer at events.
This past Spring their art committee invited me to submit photos to be reviewed for one of their upcoming exhibitions. This is a new program for the Center. Not only will local artists be featured, but the Center can earn a little commission from the sales.
While I am well known to the staff there, I did not want to take anything for granted. Art is personal. What one person likes in photographs, another doesn’t. It came to me late one evening while reading in bed that I needed to choose my “best” photos from Robinson itself. What better way to support this great place and show off its beauty!
So I submitted 13 photos of which 8 would be chosen. Several weeks later, the committee invited me to exhibit,
and here’s the kicker… this three month Kathi Isserman Photo exhibit will be held during their third anniversary which will be celebrated on September 21 from 11:30-5 pm. The artist reception, which is open to all, is scheduled for Sunday September 14 from 1-3 pm.
The committee liked all of the submissions so they let me choose the final eight. Four of which are featured here and
now available at my purchase site for the first time.
I hope all of you can attend the artist reception in September. Until then, enjoy these photos that, I hope, represent Robinson Nature Center. Also check out my new page devoted to Robinson Nature Center under the tab “recent photos”.
