Autumn Harvest

For those who follow my blog, you know that this is my favorite time of year. I am so desperate for the leaves to turn that I drag KI off on field trips at least two weeks early. As soon as I spot the Sugar Maples turning, we are off in search of Autumn colors. In past years, we have driven over 100 miles west and north to spot these early signs of the season. No matter that historically on these jaunts, we may just see one tree changing,

I am undeterred each year from traveling far and wide again to view the Autumn leaves. And this year was no exception.

Enjoy my early autumn photos. And let me know what you think of my black and white of autumn-very different view absent the color( this photo was shown in color in my blog”Imperfect Photos”).

Next week’s blog will feature more Autumn photos! Be sure to check out the tabs “Recent Photos”  and “Photography in Abstract”. I just added a few. And I will also be picking a free photo winner for my monthly contest by Sunday so be sure to leave a comment.

Thank you for supporting my work. Enjoy!

Love the sky in Early Autumn 1. Black and white photos don’t speak to me as much as color, but this photo does. Thanks for sharing your work.

    • Beth, I carefully choose which photos are B&W. This one I did in both, but in December I am blogging on Monotones. These will be color photos that looked better in B&W. I share in that blog how I choose which do not make the “color” cut and end up as B&W.

Thanks always for your awesome support and glad you liked Early Autumn I

Autumn is my favorite time of year as well. I didn’t remember why is was so special to me until I moved to New England a few years ago from California. Definitely prefer the Autumn colors in the Northeast.
