It’s too Cold to Shoot

Once again, KI and I traveled to Colonial Williamsburg, this time for Valentine’s Day weekend and President’s Day. As usual we had blast. We know what to expect at CW in the winter. They have awesome indoor programs and themed dining experiences like “An Affair to Remember” for Valentine’s Day.

As you know, I always take my camera along especially to CW because I know the place so well. I like to work on my creativity.

But this particular weekend was a challenge. Over the 2 plus days we were visiting, we only walked the historic area for about 2 hours. It was so cold. During that time, on a cloudy day with bare trees, I struggled to find a new way to show this wonderful place of history. I shot many gates and locks, but I did not like any of them.

In the end I chose two photos and present them in black and white to give you a better feel for the history.

I hope my vision translates.
