My family and I visited Longwood Gardens on New Year’s Eve. While KI and I have walked the gardens many times, we have never gone when the holiday lights were displayed. All throughout the trees, plants and buildings, there were spectacular displays of color.
I took my Canon advanced point and shoot for this trip. I did not think I would get very good shots as I was not going to be able to use a tripod. After viewing the photos on my iPad mini, I decided to do some creative editing.
The photos shown are mostly of the waterfall show
that ran continuously. They were definitely not sharp, but were decent as long as they were not magnified. Playing with the editing app, Glaze, I transformed them.
Now I know there are purists out there, who would poo poo this, but photography is an art, and this is my interpretation of that art.
Whatever you think, please enjoy my one last glimpse of the holidays this past season.
