Resolutions

Do you make New Year resolutions and follow them? I do not because they never work. Well, let me clarify… I do not specifically make New Year’s resolutions. I do resolve throughout the year to commit to certain things.

Last August KI and I resolved to get in better shape and work out. I now have a personal trainer and after 5 months, I am still hitting the gym!

Late in 2016, I shed some extra work and resolved to focus more on friends, family and my photography. This is an ongoing process. I combine any two of the above sometimes when shooting. I enjoy shooting with friends who love photography. I learn to look at things differently, through another’s eye. I believe it makes me a better photographer.

At the end of 2016 I had to burn some vacation time. KI and I spent five days with my mom in Florida, and I spent the rest of the time going on photography outings. 10 shoots over 16 days.

Since it is January and the dead of winter here in Maryland, today I bring you beach photos from south east Florida!

The tree is the Gumbo Limbo tree-south Florida’s tourist tree. On a ranger walk there, I ran into a fellow Maryland photographer and his wife. What a small world.

Let me know what your resolutions for the New Year are.

Thanks for always supporting my work!

  1. I don’t do New Year resolutions either, Kathi. And good for you for hitting the gym! Way to go! I’m doing the same thing but am finding out I can only do one 2 hour full body workout once per week for right now. I have to listen to this body so I don’t get hurt. Loved your photos and I thank you! ❤
