The title refers to my new series on shapes. While in Florida visiting with my mom, we went to see “Rogue One”-the new Star Wars adventure. I will not spill it here, but I was less than thrilled with this new adventure. Kinda boring, and I love Star Wars. I came of age with “Star Wars” so it will always be dear to me.
Not only did we see it, but we saw it in 3D IMAX at the Ft Lauderdale Science Museum. I would have considered this an expensive failure, but after the movie, while waiting for my mom, I was upstairs looking down at all of the people entering the museum.
Then I spied these shapes. After taking some photos, my mom said, “wait till you see what is outside.”
There was a a science exhibit created as motion in front of and above the museum. It was not running, but I hear it is special to watch on New Years eve.
When I got outside, I decided to train my lens straight “Skyward” and create a series of photos. I kept one which I really like. It is below.
This kind of photography is new for me. While it falls under architecture which I enjoy shooting, it is a little more abstract- about lines, diagonals, and geometric shapes. You will see more of that from me in the new year as I already have a few gems in upcoming blogs.
I am having fun seeing the world a little differently. It helps me to cope with what happened in the US in November.
Enjoy my photos today and thank you as always for reading my blogs and viewing my work!
